Kit Our

My husband built a dollhouse from a kit 10 years for our grandaughter.?

Unfortunately. He has done too much with the glue wood, and now it's big, strong, ugly lumps of glue everywhere. My granddaughter wants to decorate the doll house, but it is very discouraged and He believes it will look shabby. I tried to dig out with a scraper, but it is just too much, it will take forever. I also tried the fabric softener with a heat gun, but with the same result. I was searching for hardware stores for something that can help dissolve the glue, but vain. Can someone help? If not, then demolition of the doll house and buy a new one, which will cause untold damage to my husbands ego!

Since wood glue, holding the most out would be much faster if you use a Dremel (or other small "Rotary Tool") off-equipped with one of his sanding or grinding bits (they are a great tool to have around if they already have one). Rotary tools are with songs that have different shapes, oatmeal, and stiffness, so you should only use those that might be best for extended flat vs. the corners, or any other field, it works now. I doubt wear a mask while doing this, if there is a lot of glue to get rid of but just because you want to keep any type of particle matter from your lungs when there is lots of it. Do outside may also be useful because the dust will probably settle anywhere. This should work well enough to get all the pieces flattened quickly in preparation for painting or papering walls, etc. Your DH should just think about what "finishing" work on its creation, not a re-do! It would be a shame not to use it all because of a problem like this ... I make sure your granddaughter will really enjoy the home of his grandfather made for her. (Next time, he worked with wood and wood glue like that, he will know that bonded areas should be cleaned with a damp cloth before they dry, or the clip first, then wipe anything out at this point ... We have stuff all learn .) HTH, Diane B.
