How long can I leave my cross stitch in a Q-Snap frame?
I know that Q-Snap recommends you remove the frame every time you're not stitching, but do I really need to take it on and off every day if I'm working on it about once a day? Does anyone know if it will be less effective over time if you just leave it on until you need to move it to another area of the aida cloth? Or am I safe to leave it on my project until I finish?
Specifically, is there any damage to the Q-snap itself? I've worked with hoops for all my previous stitching (and never will again) so I'm not too worried about marks, since I've been able to get them out before. I feel like removing and replacing it each day could be more damage to the stitches in the long run.
Leaving it on will not damage the Q-snap frame, but leaving marks in the piece is a real possibility. After all your stitching, you don't really want to have it ruined. Aside from leaving marks, when there are creases, there are often dirt marks too. The only way I would leave the canvas on the frame is if the entire stitching area is within the frame.
