my 5yr old doesnt listen, lies and generally misbehaves?
im at my wits end.. i have just recently had a baby girl and my 5 yr old seems to be some other kid... he has completely morphed into a right little brat, he knows everything, he lies, he sneaks out of the house when he should be on time out, he answers back, doesnt listen when hes spoken to, and then thinks he can then turn on the charm and make everything ok... i have tried to make sure that his routine doesnt change too much becasue of the baby,(he loves his sister to the point of smothering her) he still recieves the same amount of cuddles and affection as i have always given him, but that hasnt worked, we have tried time outs, talking to him, taking away toys, positive reinforcement, behaviour charts & (unforntunatley) smacking.as a last resort . Is this normal for his age? Is it because of the baby? any advice would be grealy appreciated
i would take a belt to his little rear. that will cure his problem.
