Can I bother someone for Hare care instructions from the sea?
Our local marine shop is selling sea hare (slug green) and I have one or two but they said hair algae to eat. Is there anything else we can feed them or is it the source of their food Main? (I never trust people's pet store for advice). We have a 55gal fish / live rock tank. Created 8 months coralline algae except for some little and green. The fish are: butterfly, beautiful coral, clown w / anemone, two young ladies.
I think what you see at the store can be lettuce sea slugs, if they are a "green cap" (see photo: http://www.augsburg.edu/biology/photoofmonth/tridachia-onglass.jpg) . These reefs need a good lighting and some species of algae for food, and they generally do not survive more than a few months in an aquarium at home, so it can be a good year to avoid you.
