Does a giant stuffed bear count as carry on luggage?
I've been wanting to buy this huge stuffed bear as a present for a friend, but the problem is, its in china. And im pretty sure it will not fit in my suitcase, so the only way i can bring it back is to carry it, but i already have a small carry on bag, and the limit for carry on luggage is one. so i was wondering if a giant stuffed bear count as a carry on luggage
Yes, it would count because it would have to take up space in either the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you, if it would even fit in either of those. They might be willing to gate check it for you, where you leave it as you enter the plane and pick it up as you deplane, but I'm not sure that they would. And it might get quite messy/dirty that way.
A better bet might be to pack it up and either check it as checked luggage or ship it back.
